Don’t pay more than you need — If there is one thing Apple is perhaps famous for above all else it is the price of its products. Whilst I would argue that they provide excellent longevity (more on that later) and value for money, pay peanuts, get monkeys as they say there are plenty of people that would argue the opposite. Indeed one can normally pick up an equivalent spec Android Phone, Windows Laptop or Alexa device for a lot less of your local currency. These are often from a wider range of manufacturers which gives you more choice.

Apple’s industrial design, build quality and ongoing software support is industry-leading so whilst they might cost more money, their longevity provides them with excellent value for money. It is this lifespan that also supports a thriving secondary resale market. If you’re looking to take your first steps into the Apple ecosystem or are replacing an established broken device on a budget, you can save a lot of money by staying behind the curve if you don’t need the latest and greatest.
