The Barbican makes space for people and ideas to connect. We exist to inspire more people to discover and love the arts. For an organisation like us, the shift in mindsets has forced us to look at how we remove boundaries. We want to use this space to reflect on the questions faced by the cultural sector as it grapples with a fast-changing world — to learn in the open, reflect on our work and share stories about the inner workings of an arts institution. and, specifically, how a shift in mindset catalysed by digital culture is encouraging us to think differently about our art, our artists, our audiences and the way we work.
