At Mathematica, one of the Internet’s most prominent math blogs, we believe that math underpins many of the most important questions of the modern era. — In what ways do we use the concepts of quantity, measure, shape, form, and structure to organize our daily lives? How do we make informed decisions? Can we employ a scientific approach to knowledge, using mathematical tools, in the service of justice and the public good? What is a sound logical argument? How do the mathematical values of symmetry and balance relate to philosophical concepts like beauty and morality? — We also believe that life is narrative at its core. We believe that the more we exhibit how discovery and teaching in mathematics are all about dynamic human experiences, the more people will feel empowered to learn more, and even participate. Driven by these beliefs, we present Mathematica Stories, as a way to humanize and make accessible the field we love. [NB: we are not related to Wolfram Mathematica.]
