Gem Ng, Former Co-Founder&CTO of Four Directions, Joins MDT as Chief Architect
We are thrilled to announce that Gem Ng, former Co-Founder & CTO of Four Directions, joins MDT as Chief Architect. He will lead our engineering team in building MDT ecosystem and data products related.
Gem is a veteran technology executive with more than ten years of proven success in mobile apps, cloud platforms, games, big data, and machine learning. His experience in both consumer product development and big data will help us accelerate the rollout of MDT as well as innovations of more of our data products.
Prior to MDT, Gem led an engineering team of over 60 engineers as the CTO of Four Directions, a Hong Kong-based tech company focusing on mobile apps and big data.
Since 2010, Gem with his co-founders has grown the startup into one of the top tech companies in Hong Kong. The company successfully delivered more than 1,000 mobile apps throughout the years. One of their most popular games was acquired by a listed company at HK$30 million.
Gem studied Computer Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In 2008, he won the VIP award of the Microsoft MVP Award Coding Competition in Hong Kong and the champion of the Windows Live Gadget Contest in Taiwan.
