Despite being surrounded by a nurturing, compassionate, and affectionate community in life with whom you can connect, spend time, make memories, work, but when it comes to your emotional stability, you are the only one who can figure out what’s wrong or what are the stressors that are ruining your peace of mind.

Let’s take an example, you’re an entrepreneur running a business smoothly. You’ve hired employees in the HR, Treasury, Procurement and every department that an organization needs for survival.

Everyone plays their role in delivering the best outcomes and ultimately contributing to the success of your business, but have you ever noticed that the responsibility of the business is solely on your shoulders.

At the end of the day, you’re responsible for Business Planning and Execution, Innovation and Adaptability, Financial Management, Leadership, understanding and complying with relevant laws and regulations, protecting intellectual property etc.

The same is the case with mental wellness.

Being surrounded by a network of empathetic, understanding, close-knit, loving communities is a great blessing. They try their best to keep a check on you, but they are not responsible for your mental stability. They can’t feel your pain and suffering, and they haven’t experienced the bad phases that you went through.

How any other person is supposed to deal with the things they have no idea about?

You’re the manager of your mind, be the best one.

Don’t live in a pity party nobody will come to rescue you, take control of your actions, thoughts and behavior, and mute your inner critical voice to protect your mental health. You have the power to overcome devastating circumstances.

Rather than waiting for others to highlight your mental state, engage in self-reflection. It’s a flaw in your mental model that someone will take care of your mental health.

Final Thoughts:

It is yours, utterly and singularly your responsibility, no matter what has happened in the past, no matter how many wrong choices you have made, the moment you decide that you are responsible for your happiness, you’ll leave the victimhood, and you will find peace and a happy life.
