Mendix 10 is launching in June, here's what I know
I’ve had the privilege of seeing Mendix 10, and I have to say — it’s a love letter to developers.
This June, Mendix 10 GA is set to launch and everyone is invited to attend and watch online. With Mendix 10 already in Beta, I know that I am looking forward to the full release.

What can we expect?
So what’s different? At the event, you can expect talks on new features and capabilities from the teams that made them.
Developer Experience
The most noticeable changes which I noticed, are quality of life changes for the people who use our platform most. We’ve gone beyond just improving layouts in Studio Pro, and have instead attempted to create an enhanced User Experience. Every interface and dialog has been considered to create an air of ease and simplicity while developing, with the developer always in mind.
Improved UX and UI Capabilities
It’s not just your user experience that we considered, but also the users who use your apps. The way you create and design your front end (for every navigation profile) has been streamlined and updated so that you can deliver quality UIs faster, while also being able to manage changes in a more consistent way.
Solutions Lifecycle Management
But it’s not just User Experience that's getting an upgrade, the way we work in teams and manage changes has a fresh new take. Beyond migrating to Git for our team server, we’ve created a new way to manage changes that will make managing releases of apps easier for everyone, whether you work at a large company, or start-up, or it's just you. Utilizing a visual merge mode, you can now automate non-conflicting changes or use fine-grained conflict resolution to step through merges. Anyone who manages a lot of apps will benefit from the new Mendix Solutions Kit.
Using AI to ensure Quality Apps at design time
With all these ways to save time while developing, how can we ensure quality? We’ve expanded our friendly AI-assisted bots to encompass additional types of Mendix best practices, including security, naming conventions, and more. You can rest peacefully at night, knowing your apps have been checked for quality to ensure there are no security vulnerabilities or performance issues.
Make your own AI
And while we use AI to assist and protect you, you can create your own AI out of the box. We’ve already seen the ML Kit in Mendix 9 — but in 10, integrating your own AI is now baked into Studio Pro and you can develop smart apps without any downloads or setup. With native support for ONNX files, you can create your own trained model or download a publicly available model here:
With a variety of free models available for many different use cases, it's never been easier to create your own AI/ML-powered smart apps than with Mendix 10.
A sweet farewell to Mendix 7
While a new day dawns for Mendix 10, its sets for 7. The GA release of 10 will mark the end of support for 7, and you will have to upgrade any apps running on it. If you need some more information on upgrading Mendix versions there are guides available for those who need them
