Jesus, the light of the world
The brightness of God’s glory
The radiance of God’s beauty
The express image of the Father

Jesus, the light of the world
Piercing through thick darkness
Illuminating the dark corners
Bringing absolute clarity to all things

If the eyes are the light of the body
And faith is the eye of the spirit
Then faith is light the spirit
By it all things are manifest

By faith, we see the way of the Lord
By faith, we know the will of God
By faith, we realize you are Lord
By faith, we walk in His path

Jesus, the light of the world
All truth of the scripture is true in you
All laws of the word are fulfilled in you
All prophecy of old is manifest in you

Jesus, the light of the world
Even mounds of flesh cannot stop you
They give way to reveal the heart
All things are plain before you

Jesus, brighter than the midday sun
Illuminating Pauls’s course to Damascus
Bringing opposition to their knees
Knocking authorities off their feet

Jesus, the light of the world
Exposing things hidden in the dark
Revealing things lurking in the shadows
X-Ray — the light of Christ
