Inspiration

Space is the final frontier. We are driven by the desire to learn what is hidden there. We want to look into deep space, explore the nebulas, star systems, and galaxies, wherever we are on this planet.

That is why we built a service that allows anybody in the world to connect to an autonomous telescope in the dark night of the Atacama desert in Chile, select a real astronomical object, and mint NFTs taken by the telescope!

We are connecting your metaverse to the real universe!

How it works?

In order to start exploring the deep space you need to do the following steps:

1. Create an account

We use the Polkadot.js extension to manage the user accounts. This way we do not store any information about your account and you maintain full control over your data and NFTs you mint using the telescope. If you don’t have an account yet, don’t worry! We have prepared a step-by-step user guide to help you go through the setup.

2. Get telescope tokens

The telescope only accepts $STRGZN tokens for its operations. You can purchase them conveniently through Stripe. Just select the number of tokens you wish to purchase and hit Pay. You will get transferred to Stripe payment page where you can pay for your purchase.

Please note that the $STRGZN tokens are only utilized for the telescope launch and burnt afterward. They are not general-purpose tokens.

3. Enjoy the stars

Choose an astronomical object from the dropdown menu and hit Submit. If the telescope is online and available, a new window will open up and you will have to enter your account password to confirm your request. The telescope will begin operations immediately and you will see the resulting NFT issued on RMRK’s Singular platform in a few minutes.

Please note that this is a real, physical process, and so it is also dependent on the weather conditions in Chile at the time of your request. In the case of inclement weather, you will see a message saying that the telescope is unavailable. This limits the number of NFTs that can physically get minted making this a limited-time experience!

Now you are ready to explore our universe and mint unique NFTs of astronomical objects. Our universe is full of wonders and we can’t wait for you to find them!
