Highlights

The Enterprise Node Operators Program During May

Meta Pool has been focusing on them since day one to support them with the benefits of liquid staking and a governance delegation system, helping small operators enter the NEAR Protocol ecosystem.

That being said, we have announced the Enterprise Node Operators Program in collaboration with the NEAR Foundation to onboard top-tier institutions and companies into the NEAR Ecosystem, fostering education and evolution within the ecosystem.

Governance Engagement for Ethereum Users with mpDAO

With the recent launch of our multichain governance, integrating the mpDAO token on Ethereum, we are about to set a new experiment on blockchain governance. This achievement marks a historic milestone for the Meta Pool DAO and opens the door to new possibilities for a decentralized participation by users on multiple blockchain protocols. After all the effort, we have now reached an important milestone: the delegation process, allowing Ethereum users to connect with NEAR and actively participate in our governance.

First Staking Meetup in Buenos Aires: Driving Crypto Development in Latin America

The event served as a testament to the growing interest and involvement in blockchain technology, decentralized and traditional finance across the Latin America region. One of the highlights of the meetup was the discussion surrounding proof of stake protocols and the staking rewards generated by validators, which was emphasized as a crucial aspect of blockchain networks’ sustainability.

Notably, NEAR Protocol and Aptos involvement in providing support to launch enterprise grade proof of stake validators served as a tangible demonstration of the growing interest from the blockchain industry in the region.

Meta Pool Drives Multichain Governance

On May 1st, we reached a momentous milestone in Meta Pool’s history and the world of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). Excitedly, we announce the relaunch of our governance token, mpDAO, marking a historic moment for our community and the blockchain ecosystem as a whole.

This achievement is not only significant for Meta Pool, but it also represents a key advancement in the evolution of multichain governance. By implementing mpDAO on Ethereum, we are breaking new ground and setting an innovative standard in the industry.

mpDAO Grants 7: Multichain Governance Round

mpDAO Grants has reached a significant milestone in its development, marking a new high with over $110,000 USD allocated for distribution in a single round. This substantial increase in funding opens up opportunities for a wider range of projects to benefit from the program, with proposals now able to scale up in both amount and quantity.

One of the most exciting developments is the integration of multi-chain governance, enabling Ethereum users to directly participate in Meta Pool’s governance tools. This includes the selection of grant recipients, providing a more inclusive platform for the broader crypto community.

Vote to earn rewards
During April, the protocol collected stNEAR 7,274 in fees. These fees are divided equally: 50% is allocated to the funds for the mpDAO Grants program and the other 50% is distributed among active voters who participated in voting for proposals in mpDAO Grants or voting for validators.

Protocol fees distributed on May 3rd was a total of 3,637 stNEAR tokens to active voters.
