What is Metacoin? The Metacoin Project / FAQ #3
Now that we have discussed Hyperledger and the advantages it provides, we can now talk about Metacoin.
We have continuously described Metacoin as the following:
“a tangible ecosystem powered by Hyperledger with the Metacoin Token at the center connecting various DApps and the Withbit exchange.”
But it is hard to grasp what Metacoin actually is with the above description. So in this post, we plan to elaborate.
The Metacoin Project
Metacoin is a large scale and long term project with an independent Hyperledger platform with a Metacoin Mainnet and a Protocol Layer.
The Metacoin platform will largely consist of its own cryptocurrency based on the Metacoin Mainnet called of the Metacoin Token, the Withbit exchange where the Metacoin Token is the key currency, and numerous DApps including BitPet.
Our goal is to create an ecosystem where prospective companies with creative projects and technical abilities can receive support and resources allowing them to grow and reach their potential. This ecosystem is already under way as multiple Metacoin-based projects are in progress and companies with diverse backgrounds are continuously joining the ecosystem.
As more and more projects join our ecosystem, they will be able to grow and expand together with the Metacoin Ecosystem, where the value generated will be divided equally among our participants.
