In our last post, we described briefly about the Metacoin Project and our goals. Let’s discover what the Metacoin Project has in mind as we further explore the Metacoin Ecosystem in our today’s post.
The Metacoin Ecosystem
The Metacoin Ecosystem consists of the Metacoin Mainnet, the Metacoin Token issued by the Inblock Limited, the Withbit Exchange, and DApps including BitPet.
The Metacoin Mainnet
The Metacoin Mainnet and the Protocol Layer is powered by Hyperledger Fabric, which as we discussed before in our previous post, provides us with more secure and stable system than other blockchains on the market right now. Also, because it uses mainstream programming languages to utilize smart contracts (Chaincode) such as Java, Go and Node.js, developers do not need to worry about learning a new language.
The Metacoin Token (MTC)
Inblock Limited will issue Metacoin Tokens based on the Metacoin Mainnet which will be a utility token that allows interaction inside the Metacoin Ecosystem. On the Withbit exchange, the Metacoin Token(MTC) will act as a key currency which means that participants of the ecosystem can use the MTC to buy or sell other cryptocurrencies. MTC will be also used as a in-game currency on our DApps such as BitPet where users can purchase game items using MTC.
The Withbit Exchange
Withbit is an user oriented cryptocurrency exchange which not only includes people trading cryptocurrencies but also participants of ICO projects. People will be able to safely trade their assets using Withbit and companies will be able to see the immediate market response to their recently launched DApp. Withbit not only provides convenient cryptocurrency trading but it will also make participating in various blockchain projects easier.
DApps
DApps based on the Metacoin Protocol helps to expand the Metacoin Ecosystem. BitPet, an online simulation game, will be our first DApp to be made available on Metacoin and users will be able to purchase in-game items using MTC. Along with our future DApps planned on our roadmap, more and more DApps will be available as more and more companies and projects join our ecosystem.
