How to earn free gift cards with Mistplay: Everything you need to get started

Ready to get rewards while playing mobile games? This beginner’s guide will walk you through everything you need to know about getting started on Mistplay.

1. Invite codes

First things first — did anyone give you an invite code to join Mistplay? If you don’t have a code, you can check out our social media community to find one. Signing up with an invite code will result in extra units for both you and the person who invited you!

2. Create your account

Once you download Mistplay, you can choose between signing up with Facebook or Google. Choose the option you’d like and you’ll be able to create your Mistplay account. You may have to sign into your Facebook or Google account to do so. First, let us know your birthday and gender. (You must be over 13 years old to use Mistplay.) Then, we’ll ask you to accept our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

3. Pick your avatar

Now for the fun part! Swipe horizontally to see the different options you can choose for your avatar. Don’t worry, you can always change it later!

4. Allow Mistplay to display over other apps

You’ll then have to allow Mistplay to display over other apps so we can properly track your game time. Don’t worry, this doesn’t let us record your screen; it just lets us know when a game is open and being played.

5. Tell us about your favourite games

At this point, Mistplay will ask you what your favourite games are. This doesn’t actually influence the games which you’ll be offered later on, it just helps us present your games to you in the best way. This quick survey also helps us learn more about what games our users would like to see in the future!

6. Welcome Bonus and Tutorial

Next, you get a funky little Welcome Bonus of 200 units! Then, you’ll be taken through a quick tutorial which will help you familiarize yourself with the different parts of Mistplay, including your list of games, rewards shop, and more. (If you ever want to revisit the tutorial, you can! Just go to the tab marked Profile, tap the three dots in the top right corner, scroll down, and click Tutorial.)

7. Start Playing!

Now, you’re ready to download your first game and start earning units. Don’t forget that in order for us to reward you, it’s important to install new games through Mistplay. To do this, tap on a game in Mistplay, and press the green “Install” button. This will bring you to the Play Store where you can then download the game. As well, make sure to make sure to always launch the game through Mistplay. Mistplay may fail to detect your playtime if the game is launched directly from your phone. Finally, make sure that you’re actively playing the games in order to earn GXP/Units!
