We are pleased to announce that we are launching the MIT Africans blog here on Medium.

This is a new communication tool that will help us stay connected to our partners and strategic alliances as well as share information about what is happening with our lives, programs and outreach.

This is a crucial effort to provide African students, African alumni, and friends of Africa at MIT a means to freely express themselves, so we invite you to share your art, passion, stories, feelings, or anything else you feel like sharing.

How To

Writing blog entries has never been easier. Here are the steps to getting your post ready:

  • If you do not have a medium account yet, you can join with your Facebook or Google account.
  • Using your medium account, please follow our publication page at medium/mitafricans.
  • Request to be a writer for MITAfricans here: we need you to be a writer of this publication in order to post in it.
  • Start writing your draft on Medium, but do not post it yet. We prefer drafts.
  • When you feel ready, click on the “publish” tab and add the tag “mitafricans”. Then, to the right of the tab, click on the menu icon and select “add to publication”. Then, select mitafricans. Take a look at the images at the bottom of this article for more visual details.

From that point on, we will review your post, provide some feedback, and publish it on our page whenever you are ready.

Finally, please review our blogging guidelines before you submit your post.
