v.004 — Major Updates

Hey everyone!

We have another set of changes coming — it’s been awhile since our last announcement and we kind of slipped our awesome comparison feature in unannounced. If you haven’t tried it yet, you should probably check it out… oh and watch for some cool upgrades to it soon, they might be unannounced as well…

Main highlight: Updated Post Game feature

That blurry section on the right side of your Post Game screen is finally coming! Some of you may have already hacked the system and have been extracting advice from this area, but I assure you it was nowhere near the level we wanted it to be.

“Soon” only means soon…sometimes.

We have also been listening very closely to what some of our users really want to see in the Post Game and introduced them in this patch. So what’s new?

  • Critical Question: One of the most important things anyone can do on their journey to greatness is stop and reflect on their experiences. For this reason, we are introducing a question after every game that will hopefully make you stop, and think about the game. Taking the time to do this should really give you a deliberate focus on where to aim your sights next. It also will help you reset mentally after any crushing defeats that may otherwise tilt you :P
  • Detailed Score Breakdowns: This is something we really wanted to do, but we were worried it would be too much detail for some people. However, we have had so many requests for it that we knew it was the Emperor’s will (or the right thing to do if you want to be lame Agilio!). For every score you see, similar to the GPI, you’ll have a breakdown of your performance in each skill. Note that Consistency and Versatility do not allow this type of breakdown due to them being assessed over multiple games.
  • Critical Skills and Attributes: Sometimes it can be a little hard to identify what you need to focus on and improve. That’s why we’ve revamped our critical skill to be role specific and more in line with your overall performance. On top of that, you will also see which attribute (known as your “Critical” attribute), in each skill is the most vital towards improving your performance. For example, your Farming might have suffered due to a lapse in mid game farm. If so, we may point out that your early game was good enough but you dropped the ball after lane phase. Your Critical attribute would be your Mid Game Farming.
  • Advice: Not only will we point out what was critical to your performance in that game, we will also give you advice on how to improve it! Gee aren’t we the bestest.
  • The Future: We want to make the current Post Game features more robust by adding more breakdowns and better comparison options. Most importantly, we want to automate critical game moments into highlights you can review and make notes on.

Minor updates: Pre Game

We realize that our Pre Game can run a little thin if you’re a semi-accomplished player and play the same champ quite often. We have a lot planned, but for now, we’ve made a few significant additions that should make it more useful:

  • Tons of more advice has been added — we’re deploying them with a multi-advice system, allowing you to swap between advice that suits you best.
  • Want to crush your lane opponent aggressively? We like people like you and will help you do it.
  • Want to survive the laning phase and just make it to the teamfight phase? We will tell you how to keep the enemy at bay while you gather your strength.
  • Want more ways to win the game? Well, we’ve got those too.

Regular upkeep:

Opening our platform up to everyone has exposed so many weaknesses and bugs that we are working night and day to fix. The Emperor’s work is never done, and we are vigilant. Thank you for being patient and vigilant with us.

Coming Soon!?

We are constantly listening to your feedback and have a lot of the most demanded features in the pipeline. Here’s a peek at what’s to come:

  • Normal and Flex Queue games!!!: Finally. The time has come (seriously we got asked for it almost every day). We know…we know… but it’s not as simple as hitting a button… I mean for you it will be, but not for our backend. We promise they are right around the corner.
  • Pre Game features such as builds, and other shiny stuff.
  • GPI changes. We have been doing so much monitoring of our scores and there are so many changes we want to make so stay tuned. The GPI was designed to be measured over 20 games, so Post Game scores look funny sometimes. We are working on some fixes.
  • We have so many improvements in mind to make our 8 skill scores better and more meaningful to everyone. We are starting with Aggression, and will work our way through them, so keep the feedback coming!
  • Secret things: we cant tell you…yet.
