Mobile Me and You Project (Photo Editing Apps) Mobile Me & You Part 9|Mobile Reputations Course| AD&PR Lab
In the context of “New Consuming Trends” a course of Panteion University, taught by Mrs Betty Tsakarestou, our team (Shooters) participated in a research project called Mobile Me and You, following the Mobile Collaborative Consumption and Sharing Economy trends.The subject of the project concerns the relationship of Millennials with their mobile phones and their impact on the society and on the market. We decided to focus our research on Photo Editing Apps Applications.
We are now going to see a day in the life of Antigone through her mobile phone. Antigone is 24 years old and was born in Athens. Currently she lives in Belgium and most specifically in Brussels as she studies Physiotherapy at KU Leuven. Messenger is the first application that Antigone opens in the morning. There she checks if she has any messages which she instantly replies. Next, she goes through her Instagram feed where she takes a look at any new post and later she watches the Instagram Stories from the people she follows. As she is currently residing abroad, she uses a lot the WhatsApp where she also checks and replies her messages.
Afterwards, she looks at her schedule of the day via an application that lets her know what lesson she is having and where. She also listens to music, mostly songs that she has already downloaded on her device.
One of her favorite applications is YouTube, as she enjoys watching funny videos and content from Greece such as realities that are currently playing on TV.
Lately, she uses an application called “Contribution Squad opap” a corporate responsibility focusing on responsible gaming as part of the sustainability strategy of OPAP gambling Greek company. There, after logging in she plays the game which offers money to child hospitals. It’s a pretty simple game which is sponsored and created by OPAP, a Greek gambling company. She then continues her day by checking her emails and making some phone calls as it’s a form of communication she usually prefers over messages.
