Mobius Global Hackathon 🏆 — 800K MOBI in prizes!

We heard you. You saw our SF Crypto Devs Build Challenge and wanted a global hackathon you could participate in. 🥁 Well here it is 🔥🔥🔥
Build DApps, Win 800,000 MOBI!
All participants will retain the intellectual property associated with their submission. Winners will need to provide identification info and pass a KYC/AML check to receive a prize.
Submission Process & Deadlines
- Announce your project on the Mobius Reddit and Mobius Public Slack and submit it to the DApp Store by September 22, 2018 12:00am PST.
- You will then receive feedback from the Mobius team and community that you can use to improve your submission until judging begins on September 24th, 2018 12:00am PST.
Hackathon Categories
A winner be selected in each of the following categories:
- 💰 Finance — e.g. remittances, payments, wallets, etc.
- 🎮 Games
- ❓ Other — everything else (i.e. decentralized version of Reddit where users can be tipped with MOBI, etc — go where your imagination takes you!)
Prizes
Each category winner will receive 200,000 MOBI!
There will also be a Community Prize of 200,000 MOBI awarded to the entry that receives the most votes through a beta test of the Universal Governance Protocol Voting Method as outlined in our recent roadmap update (details soon).
Note: A category winning project cannot also win the Community Prize. A previous Mobius hackathon or build challenge winning project cannot win the Global Hackathon. Finally, all submissions must be net new DApps to the DApp store — they cannot already be on the DApp store and they cannot be replicates or alternate versions of DApps already on the DApp store.
Judging + Voting
Judges will award category prizes based on merit and we will announce the 🏆 winners by October 1st.
A Community Prize will also be rewarded through a community MOBI vote. All token holders with more than 5,000 MOBI will be able to vote once for the winner of the Community Prize. The vote will be conducted using our Universal Governance Protocol voting method (details soon).
We will also be rewarding users that give great feedback to project participants on the Mobius Reddit and Github.

Fine Print
Submissions must be live and available on the Mobius DApp Store — demos and proposals are not accepted. All relevant questions in the submission form must be filled out. We recommend all entries be completed in English, since that is our native language, but we will also consider entries in other languages.
One project per submission form entry. One entry for one project. If your project consists of multiple parts / projects that potentially fall under multiple categories, you must choose a category to submit it in.
All entries must be announced on the Mobius Reddit and Slack prior to the date given above. Failure to announce on the Mobius Reddit and Slack by the stated date will lead to disqualification. We require this in order to enable projects to receive feedback from the Mobius Team and community. This will give time to improve the project prior to final judging.
Global Hackathon is subject to change at anytime including but not limited to rules, prizes, deadlines, and selection method/criteria.
