Covid-19 Contingency Plan — 18 Months

Dear investors, collaborators and partners,

Due to the rapid spread of the virus in the country, and in accordance with the recommendations by the relevant authorities, the entire Moeda team is working remotely. As a matter of fact, a large portion of the staff has been working in this manner since the project began, as our employees are located throughout Brazil and in other countries.

We are heading into a new phase with a contingency plan to deal with the Covid-19 crisis. For the next 18 months, this phase is meant to continue remote work on our projects through a number of approaches, including: incentives for adopting social technologies in support networks, remodeling ways of doing business and support for online marketing. These efforts are aimed at facilitating the process of adapting to the new economic reality and social distancing, as well as attaining goals that are focused on sustainability and food security.

Moeda Seeds Fintech will leverage its digital financial services and act as a catalyst for marketing products — notably for food products — through our Marketplace. We will structure and promote online commerce and the distribution of sustainable agriculture products on a national scope and for priority local service.

A key feature of this new phase is the adoption of asepsis and antisepsis practices that will contribute to ensuring the food and nutritional security recommended by the FAO and WHO. These practices are essential to guaranteeing the security of food, as well as for the people who handle and transport them and for those who consume the products.

This service of food commerce and home delivery demands a range of technologies be set in place that are made available through the Moeda ecosystem. Such technologies are contained in the production scheduling, marketing and delivery, and include the use of swift payment methods between consumers and producers. This entire process takes place through our payment method known as Moeda Pay, which divides or splits payments using blockchain technology.

Through our portal, solidarity organizations and their members will also have access to technical support and to Moeda’s financial products and services, including digital accounts, prepaid card, credit and microcredit, financial education, and other products from the Moeda ecosystem.

The blockchain technology used in the commerce platform will assure traceability, data immutability and a transparent and auditable business relationship process, along with secure financial transactions at any time and day of the week.

Projects and Sustainable Business

Updates on the progress made by our team over the last week is detailed below.

Juntos é Melhor — Better Together

This proposal will implement initiatives for 4 significant target groups: indigenous Venezuelans, indigenous Brazilians, Brazilian family farmers and Venezuelan immigrants.

A proposal focused on three activities will be sent this week: organization and productive development with caring and welcoming communities, architectural and financial solutions and a collaborative economy through platforms for selling services and products.

Caminhos do Prata Projects

A meeting was held with Paulo Brun and the team involved in preparing the “Rio do Prata” project. As a proposal, we suggest aligning themes and projects that allow for a partnership between Green Cross and Moeda System to work together. This project is designed to acknowledge, highlight and network the cultural, environmental and economic diversity for sustainable development in the La Plata Basin. The La Plata Basin is the fifth largest on the planet and the second biggest in South America, stretching through Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and Paraguay.

Somos Um

The team is reorganizing itself for the contingency plan for Codiv-19 with a focus on selling products from Bom Jardim Neighborhood.

The project also financed the initial work of Bom Viver Project, which provides credit for construction works in deprived communities.

Muda Meu Mundo (Change My World)

This project is progressing very well. This week, we completed the first cycle of receivables prepayment for farmers who are already operating their Moeda accounts.

Credit and Accounts for Freelance Entrepreneurs

Moeda has completed the initial commercial and financial transactions through the release of the first microcredit payments to the direct sales teams.

Barubeer

The sales team made headway on Baru Beer’s split payment designs, including other information from the Income of Statement.

Barubeer’s Income Statement figures were revised, from financial fees that needed to be updated to packaging and other costs. Lastly, Baru and Cooperval funds were included and the costs and fund amounts were incorporated into the split payment structure.

Communication

We worked heavily last week on the creation of the new moedamarket.com sales site, which the entire team contributed to through video editing, image processing, preparing texts and a great amount of learning on the WordPress platform.

We also worked together on an article about the Rural Women Campaign.
We’ve also published the results of the Rural Women Campaign on our networks.

What’s more, we are working on writing articles for phase 2 of Artesaniaas, we’ve made progress on the searches and organizing the flow of the Moeda app and have held meetings with Muda Meu Mundo, Somos Um, Catarina Mina and Press Office.

Finally, we held a number of meetings with Ariane, who is the newest member of the Communications team. Welcome, Ari!

We will be coming up this week with social content for the upcoming weeks, continuing Artesaniaas phase 2 and the website.

Keep on top of everything that Moeda does to humanize finances and distribute impact. Follow our social networks.
