The street echoes with a silent wonder, sunlight sparkling off the pavement playfully as Sieran rests his bag to check out the building before him. Anxiety breathes out of him with a sigh, knowing a new adventure awaits.
Carrie glances out her window and waves. The two hold a shy moment of mutually awkward smiles before she lifts up the glass between them.
“Welcome! We’ve been waiting for you. Come inside, your unit is waiting!” She gestures for him to meet her beyond the door and disappears.
It’s good to have you, Sieran! Welcome to your digital home at Monster Alley Apartments!
Who Sieran Is To Me
He and I go way back to my early Kiki Lu days. Back when most of my writing was for mature audiences only, and he was as aro ace as they came.
So much has changed, hasn’t it, brother?
And yet I think he’s always been that thoughtful, compassionate soul I know today. Perhaps what’s really changed is his confidence at sharing that with the world.
One of my favorite quirks about Sieran is his commenting. Some responses could easily be articles themselves! And as for private notes, well, that’s what prompted us to exchange emails in the first place — there’s just not enough space to contain all the thoughts and words we needed to exchange!
And yet he is understanding and empathetic even to opposing points of view, something I believe is so greatly needed in this world.
