Motherhood And
Conversations about modern motherhood
Note from the editor

Rachel and Emily have been friends for 16 years. As students at Oxford they bonded over a shared love of dusty books, hatred for various literary treasures, and hydrogenated fats. With a friendship forged through relentless academic study and frequent naps in world-class libraries, they have since held each other’s hand through first jobs, relationships and now, motherhood. Rachel has three children aged eight, six and two, and Emily is new to the parenting game with a baby aged 11 months. In Motherhood&, they discuss topics pertinent to the most important and, frankly, exhausting roles they will ever take on: being mothers. And since they lived together in their early twenties, it’s virtually impossible for them to gross each other out. They can’t promise the same for their readers.
