Now we’re not going to get into all the technicalities of creating a YouTube channel. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube that will show you exactly how to do that.
But for the purpose of this demonstration, we are going to go with a motivational YouTube channel. Why? Because I am about to show you where to get all the high-quality inspirational videos without having to worry about copyright strikes.
Simply visit the YouTube channel for Ben Lionel Scott and subscribe to his content for a mere $5 per month. For that, you can download as many of his (motivational and inspirational) videos as you like. But not from YouTube.
You will have the option to download videos from Ben Lionel Scott’s website. But he will also send you an email every time he publishes a new video, and from there you can download both the video and audio files.
To create high-quality video thumbnails, simply use a free tool called Canva. With these high-quality videos and thumbnails, you will really be spicing up your motivational YouTube channel.
Now I am sure I don’t have to remind you to include your affiliate offers in the video descriptions. However, when you do, you want to include some form of affiliate disclaimer.

Basically, you will write motivational and inspirational posts on Medium and then include your videos in the story. If you are having a bit of a hard time writing such content, then I have a solution for that too.
When you start writing your motivational story, right in the beginning, just leave a “Note To The Reader”. Include something like. “The video captions and subtitles were used for this article content”.
You will see with the videos from Ben Lionel Scott, there will be text that displays on the video while you play it. Simply use that text, but not the entire video. Just give your reader a basic idea of what the video is about.
Kind of like a “teaser”, use the key points in the video to create curiosity. Because curiosity is what prompts people to want to watch your video, read your article, or visit your work.
But how will you know if this strategy actually works? Well, I have applied this strategy over the last 3 days with one of my YouTube channels that had been a little dormant.
Now, the number of views might not be that much, I get that. But never focus on the number of views, but rather the percentage of growth. That is what matters more than the view count.
As you can see below, there was a 657% increase in views, and a staggering 1467% increase in minutes watched! With a 107% increase in watch time. I am quite happy with that kind of growth in only 3 days!
So, whether the content strategy is working? I think it’s safe to say that it does. From a marketing point of view, with your affiliate offers in the video descriptions, I think we can all see where this is going given the right amount of time.
Time is the most important ingredient of any content marketing strategy. It takes time for your content to “grow roots” if you know what I mean. If you decide to try this content marketing strategy, then keep going with it.

Medium publications are a great way to get a lot more exposure to your Medium stories. But so does daily interacting and commenting on other people’s posts. Always give more than you take.
