First Ever MozFest Music Festival
After a long day discussing what the future of a healthy Internet might look like, unwind at the official MozFest party, happening at the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) on Saturday, 28 October. For the first time in the history of MozFest, we will have an evening of live musical acts spread throughout the rooms of the RSA, along with a film screening, karaoke, iPad caricatures, and more.
Local musicians will play from 8 until 11:30 pm. Bands include the folk-pop sister duo Xylaroo, the personal and political Gavin Osborn, the psychedelic folk artist SunMoth, and hip hop MC Dyalekt.
All of the films in the screening touch on the theme of society’s relationship with the Internet: digital privacy, cyberbullying, surveillance, accessibility, misinformation, and more.
Grab dinner in the area and come early — doors open at 7:30, but the building has a limited capacity. Entry is free for all MozFest attendees, so remember to bring your lanyard — it is required for entrance. Everyone over age sixteen is welcome.
