When we sent out our How Connected Are You? survey back in August, we had no idea what we’d learn. Turns out, what we learned was quite interesting.

#1: People all around the world like to take surveys

Our survey went out in six languages: English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, and Portuguese.

#2: The smartphone vs laptop divide is real


#3: When it comes to connected products, people around the world have different tastes


#4: The world is pretty evenly divided between fear and optimism for a more connected future


#5: Everywhere in the world people are afraid of losing their privacy


#6: People are divided over who is responsible for making connected devices private and secure


#7: People aren’t sure who to trust to help them be secure online


#8: People don’t seem all that excited about the world getting more connected


#9: Privacy and security aren’t top concerns for people shopping for connected products


#10: The language of the connected future isn’t yet well known
