Recently, I was troubled by seeing a patient treating herself with Ginger solution in her eyes. I heard her saying that she once had an eye condition that she was healed of because of this medicine. It was very chilly for me because I did not want to experience the same thing in old age.

While I was thinking about these a lot, I had healing scriptures coming up and the Lord showed me that there is no need to get stressed about the food I eat and get worried of the sickness that walks in darkness.

I was led in my thoughts to remembering my own testimony of how God healed me of flu by me listening to the Good News. In the same occassion, I remembered a man named George Muller who never had rheumatism or any pain in his old age. These are his own words:

“Oh, how very kind and good my heavenly Father has been to me! I have no aches or pains, no rheumatism, and now in my ninety-third year I can do a day’s work at the orphan houses with as much ease and comfort to myself as ever.”

How Believers Walk In Health

George Muller mentioned that the first thing he did in the morning was to nourish his inner man before he attended to serving God. Believe me, I know what George Muller was talking about. It gave him joy, and he attended to his daily work in the right spirit.

For me when I am supposed to wash the dishes and I am not filled with the Spirit, I realise that I become very irritable and angry especially since I am a teenager. I get instructed and I get mad at the person in myself. The great distinction comes when I am filled with the Holy Spirit.

Don’t worry, I will get to the point on how to get filled with the Holy Spirit. This man heard the word of God and it produces healing for all his flesh. The case is not something new. Let me give you this Scripture:

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. (Proverbs 3:1–2, KJV)

Under grace it’s not on you to keep the law. Jesus gives you rest from the burden of the law so that you will bear fruit to God because of your union with Him. In the above scripture, it is not talking about keeping God’s law but making His words remain in your heart, that is, believe and remember them.

Peace as we learned before is “shalom” which is health, wholeness, prosperity and peace. It is when you are at ease and you have no troubles in all areas of your life. Your white blood cells declared war on foreign objects in your body? That is not peace!

Christ offers us peace that will cause us to experience health and healing. His peace gives us a healthy body. It is powerful soundness that our glorious Abba Father, our Daddy, wants for all of us His beloved children.

The Lavish Care of Your Daddy God

The deep love that our Daddy had for us was in sending Jesus to be chastised with sickness and plague in His own body so that you and I can have peace. He was troubled so that you will not be!

There is no need for you to be suffering that pain in your body because the punishment and payment for it is at the cross of our Lord Jesus. Friend, the key to experiencing peace is to let not our hearts be troubled neither let them be afraid.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:18, KJV)

Your Daddy is giving you the key and that is to receive His love. Come to His presence to receive His lavish goodness. The key is found in spending time with the Lord in His word. It is the rest that we are looking for, for our souls.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:29, KJV)

The Burden of the Law

The law is the one that requires the human being to be working because it is always demanding of man. It is the burden which Jesus is talking about which He wants us to be free from. If you are going to want to be justified by the law and not by faith, you are a dead man.

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:19–20, KJV)

The moment you start demanding from yourself and start to say “oh no I did this wrong, I have to mend my ways” or “God will punish me for this deed,” friend know that you are now looking for justification by the law. By the law comes the curse of the law involving sickness and disease.

Those who are faith, however, are blessed along with their father Abraham. Blessings of keeping the law in Deuteronomy 28 involve no sickness and disease. When you keep on listening to the word of His grace, the word of the cross, you will have the power to break out of that illness you are having!

Your Faith Maketh Thee Whole

The law cannot bring you faith because it is not of faith. Rather, “the one who does them shall live by them.” (see Galatians 3:12) Live by them means you survive from whatever trouble you have by it. Now that is impossible because there is none righteous, as we read earlier.

Under grace, the just shall live by faith (see Romans 1:17). You will escape your trouble by faith. The Bible tells us over and over about this weapon is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. It is the manifestation of your health and healing which you don’t yet see.

And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. (Mark 5:34, KJV)

The word ‘in’ there is from the Greek word ‘eis’ which means “into” indicating a point reached or entered. Jesus told the woman how to walk continually in wholeness. When we go into peace, the wholeness will be there. We will be made whole once that happens.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah 26:3, KJV)

The reason your mind is set on the Spirit (which is life and peace), is because your trust is in the Lord, you believe. So we find that the health of a believer is founded on God’s word. Friend, you can only build faith when you listen to teachings that talk about Jesus and what He has done.

It is not about you but it’s about the obedience of Jesus Christ. The more you study the Word of God (Jesus), His deeds in the Gospels and the teaching of forgiveness, the more you are built up on your faith. Great faith has never been a problem, only little faith.

Every time you would hear Jesus say to His disciples, “oh you of little faith.” Great faith is being conscious of the deep love your Abba Father has for you that He will not let you starve to death.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. (Psalm 34:10, KJV)

Seek the Lord is coming to Him. When you spend time with Him in His sweet presence, you will experience refreshing and peace in you. The great love that your Daddy God has is such as this my friends. He laid down His Son’s life that you will not perish but have everlasting life and powerful rest in your life, you who believe in Him. Amen!

Become a Child of God Today

If you read this passage and want to experience this great love of our heavenly Father, pray this prayer:

God I thank you for the gift of your son Jesus Christ. I want to become yours today. I accept Jesus as my Lord and my Saviour. I believe in my heart that He died and that on the third day, you raised Him from the dead. Thank Abba Father that I am now your child, made clean and forgiven through the blood of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Friend you are now a child of God, a believer sanctified by the Spirit of God. As God’s beloved, you are now forgiven of all your sins. You are now born of God and have the Holy Spirit in you. Please join a local church where you can fellowhip and grow in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Be sure to be continual in prayer, ask God for what you want and believe you will receive. God bless you!
