Aspiring authors spend a lot of time learning how to write. Medium is filled with articles dispensing advice from both amateurs and those who have achieved the dream.
Not that it’s all bad.
The method is intensely personal; it has to be.
There is an industry devoted to the other side of the method, though. All of us at one time or another have followed the “cult of how.”
That task hanging above your head. Its constant shadow mocking you. There are always more things to do, and this takes a backseat.
It can. It’s not like it is 100% necessary. It is a hobby, after all.
Insecurities have a way of clouding our visions.
They completely skew our outlook to the point where we not only see our own abilities for less than they are, but also skew how we see others.
