A Blog Series focused on Navigating the Waters of Parenthood
I’ll keep this short and sweet. It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Here’s why.
In March of 2023, we welcomed a beautiful baby boy into this world. The journey has been indescribable. The joys of parenthood, as most know, comes with a few obstacles and roadblocks. This series will focus on our roller coaster of a journey into parenthood.
I’ll touch on everything leading up to birth, as well as everything postpartum. I’ll shed light on some of the challenges we’ve faced lately, such as sleep training; I’ll rant about all of the unsolicited advice I’ve gotten, and rave over the truly wonderful happenings I’ve been fortunate enough to experience.
So what’s new? Well, to start, I’ve been unemployed. Technically, I’m a freelancer, but the process of finding work and navigating my own doubts as writer have posed a few issues.

I’ll cover all of those details in a separate blog, but as a brief overview:
I was let go from my full time salary job.
I found a few freelance contracts.
Imposter syndrome began to set in, which ultimately led to a wave of self-sabotage.
I fell into a deep wave of postpartum depression.
And now we are here. I like to call this stage “recover”. It’s been interesting learning more about myself, unraveling my traumas, and trying to instill healthy coping methods. I look forward to sharing my experiences, new projects, and my overall journey as a stay-at-home mom.
