After a day in Nara, we went to another ancient capital of Japan — Kyoto. Kyoto usually starts at the train station, which is also a shopping centre and even a hotel. The station is very tall — as many as 15 floors, and at the very top, there is a recreation area, which offers excellent views over the whole city.

Inside there is a lot of free space, and in the evenings on the stairs, diodes beautifully light in different colours, sometimes they even form drawings. I saw that once during the previous trip.

Then we went to Nijō Castle, where a beautiful garden is located and an ancient castle built in the early 17th century. In addition to the stunning views, I remember this castle for the rather expensive entry tickets and hot weather.
