MyMateTech is the alias for Garth Niblock. Originally from Belfast, I am a closet geek, where my interest in technology started with an Amiga 500 and then the Sega Mega Drive. After making the move from Belfast to Newcastle and then onto London, I accumulated over 5 years IT experience with my first job coming in Service Transition at Hewlett Packard. From here I went on to take roles in Service Delivery across areas such as SAP, Infrastructure (Servers, Storage Networking and Mobility) and then in 2015, made moved into the commercial world of Sales. Having a successful Sales career in my first year I soon realised that my skills resided in consultancy and becoming a customers trusted adviser and I took a keen interest in Microsoft Azure. Not only a technology fan with an Xbox One and an HTC phone but a huge sports enthusiast with Ulster and Ireland being my supported Rugby Teams, Manchester United my football team and you can occasionally find me on the golf course with what can only be referred to as an I wish “If only I went straight” handicap. I produced MyMateTech as a way to assist the non IT savvy amongst us understand what IT can do for your business.
