I know that everyone thinks they know what to do on the holiday especially right now it is the best season for it, but the thing is you probably don’t know. And the answer is not have as much fun as you can, it is take care of your skin so you can glow afterwards. Luckily I will give you the keys to heaven glow, if you keep reading ;) (btw you can check the winter version of this post here!)

In summer, not only the sun but also the chemicals in pool water have great effects on our skin. For this reason, very deep peelings and deep peeling procedures should not be done during skin care in the summer months. Because such skin care procedures may leave stains on the skin due to the sun.

Skin care with a moisture mask effect, treatments for shallow blemishes and anti-aging skin care can be done without going on vacation. Lines and wrinkles deepen due to the sun. Apart from skin care, cream should also be used for dryness. Skin care applications that can be performed to moisturize the skin include mesolifting or mesotherapy. In these applications, there is a substance containing hyaluronic acid, which provides high moisture to the skin, and it is injected into the face, décolletage and sun-exposed areas of the skin with very thin needles. This allows the skin to gain moisture for a long time and contributes to skin care. Thus, the skin is protected against sun damage. For healthy skin care, this application should be applied in 2–3 sessions once a month or once every two weeks.

Do not use oily products in skin care

For skin care, oily products that will clog pores should not be used in the summer months. Many face and body products that are applied as moisturizers in the winter should be replaced with water-based products in the summer. Since perfumed products can cause sunspots, care products should be colorless and odorless. When using tonics, drying soaps and masks for skin care in summer, non-oily, water-based products should be preferred.

Sea water is beneficial, pool water is harmful

Sea water, especially if it is clean, softens the skin, nourishes it and gives it a radiant appearance. It has a therapeutic effect for oily and acne-prone skin. However, if it is a beach close to an industrial area, exposure to heavy metals, especially mercury, may cause problems. If the water is contaminated with microorganisms, inflammatory conditions may occur on the skin. Pool water can be harmful to the skin in two ways. If the amount of disinfectants used for cleaning is excessive, it may cause allergic rashes or excessive drying. High amounts of chlorine used increase sensitivity. It is necessary to consider this element in skin care.

For few more tips:

  1. To prevent foot fungal disease, feet should not remain wet. Wearing sandal-type shoes in summer, wearing sweat-absorbing socks, and drying your feet thoroughly after washing also reduce the risk of fungal infection.
  2. Rays taken both in summer and accumulated in the body throughout the year pose a risk. That’s why you should not go to the solarium to maintain your tan. External moisturizing supplements are recommended for babies and adults.
  3. It is necessary to pay attention to hygiene in common areas such as pools and showers, where the virus that causes warts can be found.
  4. It is recommended to avoid direct exposure to the sun between 11.00–16.00 and to use sunscreen with a protection factor of at least 30.

With all these said do take care of your skin whatever the timeline is and whatever the seasons says. Adapt the temprature and have lots of fun!

Sincerely,

Hoping for the best skin…
