Setting up a Lightsail Static IP Address from Dynamic IP Address.
Step by Step|Detailed (Part-3)
After Hosting WordPress Website on AWS Lightsail and retrieving the Login password of the Dashboard of the WordPress Website in Part-1 and Part-2, Again we have to come back on AWS Lightsail to Setup the Static IP Address from Dynamic IP Address on our Instances.
If you new regards Networking Concepts, Dynamic IP address means when we stop and start our instances in AWS Lightsail our IP addresses are changed that's called Dynamic IP Address. For more information check this blog (Part-3.1).
Why we should have set up a Static IP Address from a Dynamic IP Address?
Ans: Let’s Suppose In the future if we have to connect the IP to a Domain Name or something like that the IP has to same otherwise the Domain name is linked to the IP Address that doesn’t Exist.
Let’s Start Practical.
Step1: Go to the AWS Lightsail Dashboard after login AWS account.
Step2: Click on your Required Instances.
Step3: Go and click to Networking.
Step4: Click on Create Static IP.
Step5: A new Page will be opened. Select whatever region you want. Fill in a unique Name to identify your Static IP and then click on Create.
Note **: Static IP addresses are Free only while attached to an instance.
You can manage 5 at no additional cost.
Step6: A Static IP is Created.
Step7: Copy the Static IP and paste it on the search bar and search the Static IP. Your Static IP is connected with your Instance.
