Writing Prompt Challenge

Use tags as inspiration for prompts

I was looking through the categories here on Medium today and I saw something that inspired me.

Under the ‘Writing’ tag, I saw all of these related tags and I had an idea.

I’m going to complete a writing challenge where I write a story using each tag as a prompt.

Some tags can technically be lumped together — ‘Haiku’ and ‘Short Story’ could share the same tags. As could ‘This Happened To Me’ and ‘Memoir’.

But, I’ll write an original story under each tag.

Here are some ground rules for the challenge:

• The deadline is the end of the year — 31st December 2023.
• I already have a challenge going to get to 500 posts here on Medium by 31st December 2023, so these posts can count toward that too.
• There are no word limits for each story — long or short form, it doesn’t matter.
