Just over six years ago, the New York Fed joined Medium to create a forum that would provide more information on our work. In that time, we have published over 170 stories, ranging from recaps of our regional visits across the Fed’s Second District, to discussions on governance and culture reform in financial services, to reporting and analysis from our community development team.

Medium has been an important communication channel for the New York Fed, allowing us to show the breadth and depth of our work. It has been a place for explainer pieces and thought leadership essays that shed light on timely and technical issues for our readers, including nearly 9000 followers on Medium as of today.

Our experience here has inspired us to create a home for our content on the New York Fed’s website and expand the topics we cover. Please join us as we begin this new chapter, and continue following the work of the New York Fed at the Teller Window.

Articles on the Teller Window will focus on the people and programs that help the New York Fed support the U.S. economy. They will be written for a wide audience with the aim of illustrating what we are doing and why it matters. Stories will include editorials, interviews, explainers, and reports on events and trends in our communities and region.

Communicating what we do and how we’re doing it is as important today as ever. We invite you to step up to the Teller Window and keep reading.

Subscribe to the Teller Window to receive e-mail alerts when new articles are published, and follow the link above for archived content from our Medium channel.
