The Chicken Or The Egg
Classic conundrum cooking with Joe’s “Half Empty, Half Full?”

Another fine
conundrum, Stan.
Which came first,
Ollie, my man?
Aristotle,
asked for theories,
fowled out with his
infinite series.
A timeless
quandary,
ancient folk
paradox,
modernized
by cartons
with twelve
in a box.
I didn’t mean
twelve chickens
complete with
wings and legs.
Yolks and whites
packaged in
shells — you know …
a dozen eggs.
“Read my lips,” is
no eggs-pression.
Lips aren’t something
eggs have or need.
Even when hatched,
no lips attached.
Not lip equipped,
Fun fact, indeed!
