What is the Product Launch Strategy?

We are back with another explanatory article in the What is NOIA? series. Today we’ll cover how we plan to release the products that NOIA Network is building.

As you know, we’ve been developing this technology for nearly two years. Now is the time to package it for public use.

If you’re new to the series, start with the first article which covers why our technology is so important.

But First, Our Philosophy

We are quite skeptical about the way most blockchain companies launch their network or service. We’re not surprised to see limited adoption after their mainnets are released. The philosophy “build it and they will come” isn’t a guarantee for success, so we’re taking a different approach.

By focusing on individual and industry adoption, we can bring large-scale infrastructure into the NOIA Network as quickly as possible, improving feedback loops as well as network experience. By dealing with the companies that will be using the network now and getting their input, we can ensure the demand for when the service launches. This way, we minimize the risk of “building and not having them come”. You don’t want to end up like this guy:

Any minute now…

As mentioned in the first article, the NOIA Network will benefit regular internet users (B2C) as well as businesses (B2B). Let’s dissect each opportunity:

The Platform (B2B)

Business clients can add substantial immediate demand to the company. Due to this, we see enormous value in attracting these partners early on.

In recent months, we deployed Proof of Concept (POC) implementations with several large businesses. We are gathering valuable insight from these initial pilots, expanding the applications and use-cases of our technology.

Implementation Roadmap

  • Proof of Concept (POC) validation — Think of the platform as an interface that allows you to manage your network in one place. We’ve been piloting the first iteration with customers over the last few months.
  • First paying customers — Piloting the software is possible before the platform is fully functional. Actual customers can be onboarded in advance as well. That means we’ll be acquiring customers before the platform itself is launched. When it’s time to launch, we will have a funnel of companies using the NOIA Network from day one. We expect the first paying customers by Q3.
  • Launching the platform — By the time we’re ready to open the platform for public access, we will have fully tested both the software and the network with several large customers. This way, we can be confident of its performance and ensure rapid adoption upon launch.

Who will be using the platform?

There are countless applications where the NOIA Platform can be of value, the biggest of which include:

  • Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) (End-point ← Incoming traffic)

SaaS businesses offer web-based applications and services. Users are widely distributed and require access to services around the globe. Adequate global connectivity is needed to provide reliable service and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA). This is especially crucial for throughput-sensitive tasks, as well as voice and video SaaS services. NOIA Platform offers a reliable solution in minutes.

  • Internet-of-Things (IoT) (Device → End-point)

IoT devices are vulnerable to hackers and cyber-attacks. Industry standards will require every device to connect to an end-to-end secure network connection that guarantees security. For autonomous IoT devices, secure connectivity to the server is of the utmost importance. Reliable and high-performance connectivity is essential when managing a mesh of IoT devices. Billions of devices are constantly exchanging information with edge servers and cloud networks, where the computation happens. NOIA Platform is a plug-and-play solution for the IoT industry.

  • Private Networks (End-point ← → End-point)

Enterprises pay a lot for Internet connectivity. The SDN market alone is projected to surpass $130 billion by 2023. Due to the complexity, rigidity, and high expense, current solutions are vulnerable to emerging technologies like NOIA, which offers flexibility, interoperability, and automation at a fraction of the cost. NOIA Platform is especially attractive to Small and Mid-sized Businesses (SMBs) — a market segment that is significantly underserved due to cost barriers.

The Application (B2C)

Most of you are likely familiar with the NOIA Application. In case you’re new, you can learn more here.

As you may also know, the performance of the SDN depends on two things: the size and capacity of the network as a whole, and the proximity of the point from which you’re accessing it. The closer you are to an entry node, the faster you can access the NOIA Network.

The network is still relatively small in size, meaning it’s not optimal for everyone. Depending on the location, some experience a 500% improvement, while others don’t see any.

As the network grows, it will directly translate into better performance, increasing its appeal to millions of potential users. Adding a single business partner could instantly add thousands of new entry nodes around the globe. By focusing on both the B2B and B2C markets, we will greatly accelerate the adoption of the broader NOIA Network.

Implementation Roadmap

We will invite our NOIA Network Ambassadors to personally test the application and its performance. This will provide us with real-world data, feedback, and bug fixes.

After a few rounds of testing, we will release the application to a larger group of early adopters — that’s you, our community! The goal at this stage will be to collect performance data from as many locations as possible. We already have more than 2,000 people signed up for the waiting list, but we need your help to grow this number as quickly as possible. The more users we have, the faster we can get the network ready for the global launch.

Please note that proper testing and refinements at each stage will take time. Rushing any improvements is not in the best interests of our community. We will reach out via email when the time comes for beta testing, so make sure you’re subscribed.

Our aim is to get the first business customers to send traffic through NOIA while simultaneously building up the infrastructure and network intelligence to release the App to users worldwide. We believe this strategy will allow us to launch the best product possible, with heavy initial adoption.
