Telepat North Hits 50!

Last time you heard from us, we were 25 members strong.

Remember our first 25? We’ve doubled-down (literally — now we’re at fifty 😎), went through hundreds of applications, and welcomed 25 more of the finest minds and most energetic people we could find as proud members of Telepat North!

The past few months have been a lot of fun, and a great learning experience. The North Fireside Chats — our series of web-chats on tech — have been packed, and with such prominent names as our guest speakers like Mallika Rao, Software Engineering Manager at Twitter, and Ron Lichty, co-author of “Managing the Unmanageable” — a must-read for all software development team managers and leads — our members and us have had a blast.

Next month, we’re ecstatic to be hosting the great Robert Martin, author of “The Clean Coder”, as the guest speaker at our North Fireside Chat.

Here’s our story again, in numbers:

• We’ve processed a total number of 833 profiles from 49 countries.
• We’ve met 109 people and spent dozens of hours in conversations on what it’s like to be a developer worldwide.
• We’ve now vetted and onboarded 54 awesome, inspiring members from 22 countries.

We’ve also updated the North Profile for our members. North members can now add their achievements to their profile — assessments, blog posts or articles, and other noteworthy contributions. We’ve also incorporated a new look to the profile, with a progress bar showing a member’s North journey. A big thank you to everyone who helped us test it and utilize the feedback we got!
