I have found the book — oh yes, I finally have! El canto y la ceniza, a poetry collection by two remarkable Russian women poets, embodies all my soul was longing for. I had already read their poetry before, though I had not had the privilege of experiencing it so intensely. I absolutely adore Anna Akhmatova’s unique voice, as I soar with Marina Tsvetaeva’s vision. Oh, but how to pour out what my whole heart feels in so few lines! They are the ones who made my being what it is to be — my wish, as theirs, is to prevail in a wonder garden where the weeds rustle and the muses sing. So please, my soul, rest, for I want to hum what the wind whispers. The ivy embraces the stone.

«Y todas las flores que hay en el mundo / florecieron para acoger su muerte»
‘And all the flowers that are in the world / bloomed to welcome their death.’

— Anna Akhmatova

Literary Goal for June — ☕ tip of appreciation

📖 La huella de la mariposa by Mahmud Darwix

About the literary goal: I find that I simply love books more than anything else and that it would be unfair to my soul if I would not read them. Therefore, it comes to my mind the idea of creating a literary goal. Every month I intend to acquire a book — the purchase may be made by my own efforts, that is to say, through writing. If you find my commitment rewarding and decide to support me, you are welcome to invite me for a coffee. Thank you for your kindness!
