on Mihai Eminescu’s own questions

‘What are you looking for at night / When moon is shining in the springs / And where the birds in warble fight / Flapping enchanted their wings?’ (Mihai Eminescu)

‘What are you looking for at night
When moon is shining in the springs
And where the birds in warble fight
Flapping enchanted their wings?’

Dearest Moon, all my answers are vain now. I no longer realise what I am looking for — I long to find a meaning, yet I recognise that life is not merely a single goal to be reached. Oh, come alive, my warm heart!

‘Why do you wish to be alone
With the low voice of secret source?
To hear the leaves by the wind blown
And sleep on grass, dark green and coarse?’

For only by being alone I can see my soul — with weary eyes and bare arms I touch the wavering wind. Though I am not genuinely on my own. My lover, my family, poetry, and the whispers from the trees are with me.

‘On the innumerable leaves
She barely left a tiny trace.’

Even if my fate is different, I wish to give life to enlightened spirits: I mean, to evoke the uplifting verses.

Literary Goal for June — ☕ tip of appreciation

📖 La huella de la mariposa by Mahmud Darwix

About the literary goal: I find that I simply love books more than anything else and that it would be unfair to my soul if I would not read them. Therefore, it comes to my mind the idea of creating a literary goal. Every month I intend to acquire a book — the purchase may be made by my own efforts, that is to say, through writing. If you find my commitment rewarding and decide to support me, you are welcome to invite me for a coffee. Thank you for your kindness!
