Virtual real estate has become a trending topic recently as individuals and companies are spending millions to stake a claim to land in the Metaverse. To track, manage and organize assets in the Metaverse environments, Numbers Protocol has developed decentralized techniques that protect the virtual content, including landscape metadata, the CID of assets, and the on-chain provenance of the NFT tokens.

Today, we’re more than happy to announce our partnership with SuperWorld, a dominant virtual world mapped onto the real world with over 64 billion plots of land to collect as NFTs.

As the mix of AI, AR, VR, and decentralized (cryptocurrency and Non-Fungible Token) technology, Metaverse happened to be the most explosive market in 2022. According to the report of Euronews Next, the market growth of virtual real estate is expected to exceed €1 billion in 2022.

In early 2021, NFTs rose out of the blockchain world and positioned themselves as a potential solution to some of the current digital media problems. The NFTs document the token history and record ownership, however, it’s become obvious that ownership by itself is not enough to resolve all issues created by the current Web2 world. As we all recently learned that over 80% of free NFTs minted on OpenSea are fake, plagiarized, or spam, we realize that the same issue could happen in the Metaverse.

Who created the NFT? What is the context? What is the history and how to trace and verify are ALL questions that NFTs and digital media assets need to be answered in Web3.

Here at Numbers Protocol, we are not focused on the short-term gains of jumping on the Metaverse bandwagon, but on trying to address the digital media dilemma that has plagued us since the internet became mainstream and the de facto standard of information.

The Metaverse is still a young concept, but with rapid advancement and investment, in theory, you could now put your own NFTs into real-world surroundings via Superworld AR mobile app. Give it a try to turn your imagination into reality: SuperWorld AR on the App Store

With the partnership with SuperWorld, Numbers Protocol provides our API to help SuperWorld rebuild their Web-based NFTs Marketplace with all the current assets registered and migrated on Numbers Mainnet. Additionally, we are also integrating Capture App API to SuperWorld to enable users to register, mint, and preserve content in the decentralized web3.0 storage (IPFS), and create authentic assets with complete on-chain history.

It’s our honor to have SuperWorld to be our 1st strategic use case of Numbers Mainnet. Together we could change digital assets from untraceable and unverifiable entities into standalone entities capable of “speaking” for themselves through accessible and transparent records.

Soon, Numbers will also integrate SuperWorld into the Network Action of Capture App, and once integrated, users could export their works into SuperWorld Metaverse which will result in NFTs minting from both apps and access to the Metaverse for both communities.

“Numbers provide asset-driven solutions and Capture App which facing to photographers. With the partnership with SuperWorld, we can together bring user-generated content into SuperWorld Metaverse. And all the creations and NFTs shared in SuperWorkd can also have authentic on-chain history on Numbers network.“, said Sherry Chung, BD & Solution Architect of Numbers Protocol.
