Whew, what a month July has been! While some scorching weather heated up our hometown of Pasadena, California, the ObEN team went on an Asia tour where we hit up some of this year’s leading technology meetings and events.
Zero One Technology Festival
We’ve been to the Chinese metropolis of Shenzhen plenty of times before — after all, it’s known as the “Silicon Valley of China” — but we’ve never been there for an event quite like the Zero-One Technology Festival. Taking its name from the binary code that has driven so much change in the last century, the festival drew over 40,000 attendees, many of whom visited ObEN’s booth to experience our Personal AI (PAI) technology. Visitors had the chance to create their own PAIs featuring the latest iteration of our technology, and watch their PAI dance to music on giant transparent monitors. To close out the conference, our co-founder and COO Adam Zheng gave a keynote address on the future of Personal Artificial Intelligence on the Project PAI Blockchain, and even previewed one of our celebrity PAIs from popular girl group SNH48.
Interpol — UNICRI Global Meeting on AI and Robotics
After a successful showing in Shenzhen, we headed to Singapore where we spent a few days with top government and technology leaders at the first Interpol and United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) joint meeting on the challenges and opportunities in AI and robotics. Along with representatives from Interpol’s member states, our co-founder and CEO Nikhil Jain spoke on how the latest developments in AI technology, including our blockchain-secured Personal AI, can be used to forward Interpol’s agenda of international law enforcement cooperation.
SoftBank World 2018
Last week, ObEN exhibited at SoftBank World 2018. SoftBank World is the largest corporate event annually held by the SoftBank Group — and serves as a look forward into the next year’s technology trends and developments. This year’s theme was “Information Revolution”, with SoftBank Founder and CEO Masayoshi Son delivering a keynote address on the current AI landscape and AI’s potential for using information to change the world. Not only were we able to have our PAI technology on full display, we were also featured in daily technology presentations where our co-founders shared why we adopted the Project PAI Blockchain to secure and authenticate our users’ PAI. Tying into the theme of “Information Revolution”, they discussed how PAI can be used to unlock numerous ways for users to not only control their data, but monetize and contribute that data on the blockchain to improve their own PAI and the entire PAI Blockchain ecosystem.
