Earlier this week SigEp and I announced that we are seeking a Social Media Intern. I am pumped!

I have been managing SigEp’s social media accounts for the past two years. Today, I want an undergrad to join my team of interns and help make an impact.

Your social media internship experience will come with plenty of benefits. Here are the top benefits:

1. You’ll have a voice and be heard. SigEp social media is followed by more than 72,000 people, and they’re pretty engaging. You’ll have the ability to engage, inspire and motivate our followers.

2. You’ll be part of our social media expansion. For the past two years, we’ve worked hard to establish our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram presences. Now we’re ready to expand!

3. You’ll learn how to use Sprout Social. If you’re an aspiring communications professional, this is a skill you’ll want on your resume. Upon being chosen as our intern, we’ll hook you up with a Sprout Social account and begin showing you the ropes!

4. You’ll help manage a VERIFIED Twitter account. That’s right, we have a our blue verified badge and we’re the only fraternity that has one. In fact, there are even universities that haven’t reached this social media milestone yet. According to Sprout Social, SigEp is the most influential fraternity on Twitter. You are going to help continue the momentum!

5. You’ll be recommended. SigEp believes in helping college men achieve their goals. Our hope is that this internship will give you the experience you need to land another job. So, whenever you’re ready, CEO Brian Warren and I will be happy to write you letters of recommendations via LinkedIn and serve as references in your job search.

6. You’ll choose your hours. To make this experience possible, we will need to establish your “office hours.” If chosen, you’ll tell me how much time you want to dedicate to this internship and you’ll give me a schedule of time slots throughout the week that you’ll be plugged in remotely from campus or home.

7. You’ll be successful. I have no doubt that this intern will be successful. You will be able to help make an impact on SigEp and it’s brand on social media. The experience you’ll gain from this internship will stay with you in your career.

You think you have what it takes to join our team? If so, review the official social media intern job description and my open letter to our future intern for details on how to apply.

Questions? Let me know over email, Twitter or LinkedIn.
