The California-based startup will work with OST to power their loyalty program, and to enable customers to ‘give back’ to their favourite charities by donating their Branded Tokens. The ultimate goal is to incentivise people to shop for products that make the world a better place.

FAININ

When one of the founders was living in a dorm, he saw the need for a well-organised way to borrow stuff you rarely use. Like a drill or a tripod. Backed by a major insurer, Fainin will also feature “try before you buy” and “rent on location” products, like a pair of skis when staying at an AirBnB in the Alps.
The German startup will use OST to mint their own Fainin Tokens. Users can earn these Branded Tokens by rating products and experiences, and by responding swiftly to inquiries. Rental agreements in the form of smart contracts staked by $OST are also on the roadmap.
Having a secure and organised token economy as well as being the first, decentralised rental marketplace will differentiate Fainin from existing shared economy platforms.
