Activity Report Vol.40: Otaku Coin Featured in the Worldwide Anime Site Collaboration Project

We are in love with anime. No matter the age, we still turn on our televisions just to enjoy the moment of happiness that we get by being engrossed in the anime that we love. During such moments we’ve thought, “Wouldn’t everyone want to know how people working in anime studios make these amazing anime, and wouldn’t anime fans want to express their feelings for the anime to the people who made it?”

Tokyo Otaku Mode, a company that continues to work hard to spread Japanese pop culture to the world, and one of the partners of the Otaku Coin Association have collaborated with anime news sites around the world to launch this new interview project.

We have decided to interview directors and producers of anime studios that create the best works at the forefront of Japan’s anime industry and works enjoyed by fans around the world to reveal the behind-the-scenes details. The interviews will be translated into multiple languages and shared with anime fans around the world.

This project is being done with the cooperation of the following anime news sites from around the world. The interviews are going to be shared all over the world. No matter the language or country, what’s in common is simply the word “anime.”

For this project, the Otaku Coin Association is handling the features on the Otaku Coin app, expected to release in summer or autumn 2018, which will enable fans from all over the world to directly send messages of support or thanks to anime studios. These messages will be put on posters and delivered to the anime studios!

The first interview article is about Junpei Mizusaki from Kamikaze Douga (creators of Batman Ninja, Pop Team Epic, etc.). More interviews with beloved anime studios are coming soon.
