私人收聽指南 | Blur - For Tomorrow
Blur 首張展現出英搖特色的專輯《Modern Life is Rubbish》 （現代生活真垃圾）開頭第一曲〈For Tomorrow〉（為了明天）就十足英倫，寫 1992 年經濟蕭條的倫敦。
或許源於主唱「大門」修讀戲劇的興趣和背景，〈For Tomorrow〉的歌詞頗富故事性。場景設定在冬日的倫敦，景氣跟天氣一樣壞，角色是兩個灰頭土臉的年輕人，而歌曲就在他們的日常中捕捉時代的挫折與焦慮。
我認為這首歌的歌詞有許多不錯的句子，結尾透過平凡對話給了角色逆境中的尊嚴，相當優雅。然而，整體看來就顯得老套，所以歌詞的表現整體來說是普通。
〈For Tomorrow〉最吸引我的是人聲的表現，尤其副歌簡單的「啦啦啦」。
我最喜歡的版本是 1993 年六月在音樂節的不插電表演，只有一把吉他和主唱大門與吉他手 Graham 的合音。大門渾厚的低音搭上 Graham 帶有生澀感的高音，像溫泉和冷泉，讓耳朵洗了三溫暖。
澄清一下－－Graham 的聲音扁扁的，給人一種靦腆生澀的印象，並不是唱功不好的意思，而是他的特色，我很喜歡。之後在 Blur 公認最可愛的歌〈Coffee and TV〉也可以聽到 Graham 當主唱。
氣質完全不同的兩人，也為副歌更添情緒的豐富性。大門的桀驁彷彿要跟命運對著幹，Graham 靦腆的嗓音則呈現了面對未知的戒慎恐懼。
而當最後一段以日常為情節的主歌幾乎要淹沒在重複的啦啦啦之中，這樣的安排又凸顯了壞時代裡簡單的日常與尊嚴有多麼不容易。
