We need to learn from high frequency measures not just of glucose but body temperature, cortisol, heart rate and blood pressure. They are all dynamic and under circadian control. We want to learn with you and from you to get these stories out.

— Dorothy D. Sears

When we collect data about ourselves at a higher than typical frequency, new patterns emerge. In this talk, epidemiologist and chronobiologist Dorothy Sears offers a brief intro to why circadian rhythms matter for our metabolism, cardiovascular system, and even our cancer risk. Understanding how to live in proper alignment with our circadian rhythms is crucial to maintaining health in the modern world, and self-trackers may be the richest source of insights to create that understanding.
