Continued from Pt–1

Setting aside 5 mins to see what else is happening in the world at the start of each day can reap major benefits. Next to coffee, it’s one of the most important part of my morning routine.

I was curious what works for other designers so I asked my colleagues at the Strategy+Design team about their ‘top of the morning’ feasts. Here’s what our team of UX design, research and strategy experts shared.

Hope it inspires you. Enjoy! Also, check out Part 1 if you missed it, and stay tuned for Part Three in the coming weeks.

Note To Self Podcast

This is part of my morning commute on the train from Brooklyn into Midtown. Great discussions/viewpoints regarding how technology has become part of our every day lives.

My creative snack food — lots of little bite-sized bits of inspiration in art, music, photography, tech and more.

Jes Reynolds / Principal User Experience Designer / @sheeshoo

I’ll often check in on this podcast from Whitney Hess and Paul McAleer — I’ve listed to every episode and always learn some new applicable skill or behavior that I can use immediately to strengthen my own practice.

Kelani Nichole / Principal User Experience Researcher / @kelaninichole

The Pastry Box Project

Honest reflections from practitioners, whatever might be on their mind. I sometimes find my own challenges here, very good food for thought.

99% Invisible Podcast

For all around inspiration. I love listening to this while walking the dog — great stories about the design of things/spaces we don’t always think about every day. Plus Roman Mars has the best radio voice ever.

Alice Clark / Director of Strategy / @curiousdreams

Fast Company

A good blend of business, technology, and design. Also, offers some inspiration around good business habits and behaviors.

I’ve subscribed to some tags and some threads, and get a digest every day (it seems) with interesting topics.

Marie Hwang / UX Designer/ @mariehwang
