They are harmless. Their big plan is to bring together all their people, even those from the other cities — in fact they’re in constant contact. The intent is to survive here, on this dying earth, to build a new society from these ashes, believing the planet will eventually heal now that the disease has been scoured away into the depths of space. I don’t think they know anything about the others you left behind. And neither about the monitoring station. At least it was never mentioned and I’m sure they trust me enough now to— shit. What was that?
