A Quick Personal Update
Last week, I designed a 360° hyper-effective blueprint to maximize December — to start 2024 with peak momentum and motivation.
But an ugly-painful breakup and my brother’s hernia surgery derailed things.
I’m back on track — thanks to the blueprint’s fall-back and lapse recovery. The plan is to build back momentum and protect it religiously till Jan 1st, 2024.
I couldn’t value-pack this M123 edition (2023’s last) as much as I wanted.
But this is still value-rich and crafted with love — I hope you find it valuable!
Proven Productivity — My 5-Step “Deep Work” Stack
Deep work = Working in “Flow” = Which studies have found to be 5X more productive
Most “gurus” needlessly complicate Deep Work. It’s as simple as:
- Put your Phone on DND and keep it out of sight.
- Have a filled water bottle within your hand’s reach.
- Outline & pre-plan with a notebook.
- Loop 1 song for trance-like focus (My goto: Opus by Eric Prydz).
- Block distractions with the free ColdTurkeyBlocker (Use the free ColdTurkeyWriter if you’re a writer).
Then, it’s time for the 5-second rule — count down “5–4–3–2–1” out loud and start. As Mel Robbins says,
“If you get the instinct to work on a goal, you must physically move inside of 5 seconds. Otherwise, your brain will kill it.”
Fit Formulas
Formula #1 — The 4-Step Cycle to Get Muscular on Autopilot
- Train hard and clean — use the free Aesthetic Vault for gym workouts and the free 15-Min-Bod Tripack for home workouts. Master the form through the hyperlinked video tutorials within.
- Recover via sleep, nutrition, and off days — sleep 8 hours. Drink 2–4L water. Eat ample protein. Eat mostly-healthy. Foam-roll (optional).
- Train harder and cleaner next time — track your sets, reps, and weights with a Note-taking app or pocketbook. Try to beat those numbers next time.
- Rinse and repeat for years.
These 4 steps alone will get you 90% of your results.
Forget all the fancy B.S.
Formula #2 — A Fat-Loss-Boosting Optical Illusion
We’re visual creatures — 80% of our sensory inputs come via our eyes.
We can leverage this to boost fat-loss in 2 ways:
- Smaller cutlery: Smaller bowls, spoons, forks, and plates will trick your brain into feeling full by eating less.
- Spread-out food: Instead of crumping together dense foods, spread out airy, fibrous foods (like Kale, Celery, Cucumbers, etc.).
While these tweaks seem simple, they compound massively with time.
