The Queer Games Bundle is a collection of nearly 600 items by LGBTQ+ creators and teams, nearly 400 of which are independent video games, all sold for just $60. The bundle is over now, but you can still buy all the games.

In the last few weeks, I did 59 interviews with game developers from the 2022 Queer Games Bundle.

I talked with a total of 71 individuals and studios.

The average number of years making games is about 5.75. The lowest was just a few months, while the highest was 27 years.

Almost everyone’s favorite part of making games is early in the process: worldbuilding, creating, planning. Almost everyone’s least favorite part is later: programming, debugging, marketing.

Here’s a word cloud with the themes and genres people mentioned. (This is an art, not a science; read the interviews!)
