Greetings, Space Cowboys and Astronaut Girls! Welcome to our fresh issue of ‘Cosmos biweekly’! As usual, we have a bunch of great news for you today!
A new milestone for Cosmos is here! The Cosmos Hub Theta upgrade is live. As per the Cosmos Hub roadmap, this release includes Cosmos SDK v0.45.1, an upgraded Gravity DEX, IBC v3.0.0, and many performance improvements.
Furthermore, the upgrade marks the official launch of Interchain Accounts, a module that has the potential to drastically boost interoperability, traffic and composability on the internet of blockchains. Interchain Accounts will allow the rise of a vast array of possibilities that further strengthen Cosmos as a precursor and established leader in blockchain interoperability. You can see Interchain Accounts as granting blockchains the ability to open up their native functionalities as an “API” to be custom written by another chain, and then executing the write states to these endpoints over the Interchain Account channels.
Ignite presented Accelerator, their $150M-backed program for innovative Web3 projects. Together with Ignite CLI and Ignite Ventures, Ignite now offers the most comprehensive innovation platform for blockchain developers.

Good news is, Cosmos Hub Governance Proposal #66 has officially passed, marking an increase in available slots in the Active Validator Set from 150 to 175. Governance Proposal #67 is in the voting period.
As for the other Cosmos ecosystem news: Crescent Network is now live on mainnet, Terraform Labs launches Global Founder Fellowship with participating partners including JUMP Crypto, Delphi Digital, Outlier Ventures, and more. Also, Terra expands stablecoin reserve beyond Bitcoin with Avalanche. Bridge.terra.money now supports Avalanche, Solana Osmosis, Fantom, Moonbeam Network. Secret Network announces a scalability-focused partnership with dYmension, a modular settlement layer specializing in rollups. Polygon is pledging $20 million as part of a push to fully offset the impact of its carbon-dioxide emissions this year. Band Partners, the go-to place for updates on Band Protocol’s business developments and partnerships, has been launched. The Persistence network has reached another major milestone: 1 million on-chain transactions. bATOM is now live on Anchor Protocol. Akash Mainnet Voting is live. The Althea Partner Portal (APP) is coming soon. INJ native withdrawals are now supported by Binance, making Injective one of the first ever Cosmos SDK based chains to have mainnet support from Binance.
