2023 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for us at PARSIQ!
In these first few weeks of the year, we’ve only continued to grow. Just this month, for instance, we announced the expansion of our Tsunami API, which is now live on Arbitrum.
This expansion to the Tsunami API came hot on the heels of our development update from the close of last year, where we announced some of the recent developments with our products (such as including metadata in our NFT Data Lake, implementing real-time filters for our Tsunami API, and enabling wallet and transaction endpoint specification for our users).
Today, we’re proud to announce yet another advance in our tech — the launch of our ABI Decoder on the Tsunami API!
Tsunami API + ABI Decoder
Developers will already be familiar with the importance of having an ABI decoder on hand. As we’ve pointed out before, blockchain data is a mess! Our ABI decoder makes it easier than ever for our users to hone in on the exact points of data they’re interested in, without having to be bothered by all the other noise. We’ve made it easy to get real-time notifications about the exact type of events you’re interested in monitoring.
Now, our users can use our ABI Decoder in conjunction with our Real-Time Filters to streamline their process. Where the real-time filters allow users to define the exact type of data they want delivered, the ABI decoder “translates” all this raw data — the events and parameters of events — allowing users to receive the notifications in a readable format (and not in strings of seemingly random symbols). Put simply, we’re offering not only raw blockchain data, but also the possibility of customizing the data you want, and having it instantly decoded and delivered as well.
A core part of our mission, after all, is to make data as easy to deal with as possible, so that developers can do what they love to do — build! That’s why we’ve worked hard to prepare our ABI decoder for launch. Now, developers have the ability to simply import their own contracts or call specifications, enabling them to precisely define the types of data they want to retrieve.

What is an ABI Decoder?
When developers work on the blockchain, they have to deal with a lot of encoded data, that is, data that isn’t really readable prior to some sort of translation. Without a way of easily decoding all of the data one retrieves, it may as well just be a completely random set of symbols. Everyone knows that the blockchain is full of data. But in order to make use of it, you have to be able to translate it. That’s what an ABI Decoder does, it translates the data into a human-readable format.
Essentially, an ABI Decoder is a tool that allows developers to translate — or decode — the raw data into language that is familiar to them. This means that our users, such as developers, auditors, etc., can now instantly get a clearer understanding of the contracts and events they’re interested in, and how that data can be interacted with.
In short, our ABI Decoder provides the invaluable ability to quickly transform all of the seemingly random symbols into something readable and useful. That is, it turns it into something valuable!
