How to use Phantom Wallet for GOATi’s 22 Racing Series NFT presale
GOATi’s newly released game 22 Racing Series is currently conducting its presale on the Phantasma blockchain, allowing customers to buy game licenses, vehicles, car parts and also bid on auctions using the Phantom Wallet. This tutorial aims to show you how easily you can take part in the 22 Racing Series presale and get gaming!
Before you start
Please note that a 7 minute video tutorial walking you through game related purchases is available here and complements this written tutorial.
This guide will perhaps be unnecessarily detailed for most users, but takes aim at covering not just those who are familiar with how a blockchain and light wallet works, but also all the mainstream gamers getting familiar with this technology for the very first time.
First off, you can participate in the presale in multiple ways and using multiple currencies:
- Using PayPal like in any other shop online
- Using a wide assortment of cryptocurrencies through CoinPayments
Both of the above will get you GOATi tokens which are a type of redeemable vouchers valued at $0.10 each that can be swapped for game licenses etc in the Phantom Wallet.
- Using the Phantasma native currency SOUL
This option, also through Phantom Wallet, comes with significant discounts for all your purchases, and is currently the only way to participate in the limited edition vehicle auctions.
NOTE: there is an 11% referral bonus for you if you enter ‘’nftphantasma’’ in the referral box during a purchase.

Logging in to Phantom Wallet
Launching Phantom Wallet brings you to the login screen, where you enter your private key (preexisting or supplied with GOATi’s preloaded wallets) and log into your wallet.
Portfolio view
Hit Shift + F5 to ensure you get all the latest enhancements — changes and upgrades happen on a frequent basis. A brief look at the portfolio tab shows you which assets you currently possess, a brief explanation:
- SOUL: Main currency of the Phantasma blockchain, the blockchain on which the entire in game economy of 22series is based. Use this currency for significant discounts compared to retail price.
- KCAL: “Fuel” currency of the Phantasma blockchain, used for fees for all actions performed on the chain such as purchases, moving assets between wallets etc. A small amount of KCAL is supplied with every preloaded wallet. If you own or buy SOUL, you can stake SOUL to earn free KCAL on a daily basis.
- GOATi: Redeemable vouchers valued at $0.10 each which can be used for the 22series presale.
In addition, if you stake 2 SOUL or more you can set a name for your wallet. This allows your friends to easily send assets (for example NFTs) to you without having to remember the long “public key” address. Simply send to “bill” instead.
NFT sales view
The NFT presale can be viewed by clicking the “NFT sales” tab. It is separated into three categories. Note the following:
- The countdown timer shows the remanining duration of the presale
- 10% of all sales go towards the prize pool dedicated for upcoming 22series race competitions
- If you have been referred by a friend and enter their public address or Phantasma wallet name when confirming your purchase, each of you will receive 11% of the value of any purchase back as GOATi tokens which you can use to buy more game items
- With each purchase you can choose to pick up a ticket for the bi-monthly lottery to win a custom 22series NFT car which you can drive in the game
- The slider next to the item categories allows you to switch between using GOATi or SOUL for your purchases, and lets you know the current discount for SOUL purchases
Category: GAME ACCESS
There are two game licenses
- NFT Pre Season Game Pack. This license gives you full access to the game 24/7 and includes the features of the pit pass. You also get a limited edition Phantasma Blue NFT car which will only be available for purchase during the presale.
- Pit Pass. This allows you to view your cars and car parts in the game, but will not allow you to actually play the game. An option for NFT collectors who do not wish to play the game itself.
To buy a license, click “Buy for [X] SOUL/GOATi”. Remember to choose the correct currency (GOATi / SOUL) prior to this.
In the popup, confirm the item you are about to purchase and enter your friend’s name or wallet address if someone referred you, then simply click “Buy NFT”.
The transaction will then quickly be confirmed on the blockchain, and your game license will be automatically produced and sent to your wallet.
In the “history” tab you can see the amount you have paid, and the NFTs returned. Click the transaction link for further details.
Going back to the Portfolio tab you can view the NFTs that you have received by hovering your mouse over the ‘i’ next to “22 Racing Series — TTRS”.
Category: VEHICLE PARTS
Each car in 22series consists of 25 distinct car parts — and you can build your own! To get the necessary parts you can choose to buy the pre season packs which each contain five random car parts. For each pack of car parts bought you also get a chance to discover a limited edition car when you open the pack.
To buy a license, click “Buy for [X] SOUL/GOATi”. Remember to choose the correct currency (GOATi / SOUL) prior to this.
In the popup, confirm the item you are about to purchase, choose how many packs you would like to buy (1–10) and enter your friend’s name or wallet address if someone referred you. Then simply click “Buy NFT”.
The transaction will then quickly be confirmed on the blockchain, and your car part packs will be automatically produced and sent to your wallet.
In the “history” tab you can see the amount you have paid, and the NFTs returned. Click the transaction link for further details.
Going back to the Portfolio tab you can view the NFTs that you have received by hovering your mouse over the ‘i’ next to “22 Racing Series — TTRS”.
To open your packs of car parts simply go back to the “Vehicle Parts” view under the “NFT sales tab” where you bought them, and click “Click here to redeem” at the bottom.
In the popup, simply choose the number of car part packs you wish to open, and click “Redeem”. Remember that each and every pack you open gives you a chance to discover a limited edition vehicle NFT.
The transaction will then quickly be confirmed on the blockchain, and your car part packs will be automatically opened and the car part NFTs returned to your wallet.
In the “history” tab you can see the transaction where you sent your car part packs to the burn address, and the transaction returning car part NFTs to your wallet. Click the transaction link for further details.
Going back to the Portfolio tab you can view the NFTs that you have received by hovering your mouse over the ‘i’ next to “22 Racing Series — TTRS” — the list is scrollable.
Category: VEHICLE AUCTIONS
Certain limited edition cars are exclusively available through auctions. These cars are extra rare or unique, and competition may be fierce to secure one of these.
Each auction can contain one or more cars, see “X available” in the top right. Remaining duration for any particular auction is also shown in the top left. If you currently hold a winning bid on an auction, a trophy icon will be displayed next to the auction name. Current top bid and total number of bids are also shown.
To view current winning bids, hover your mouse over the ‘i’. This will tell you who currently holds the winning bids and how much they have bid. This is particularly useful if there’s more than one car available, as highest and lowest winning bid could differ substantially.
To bid on an auction, click “Current bid [X] SOUL”.
In the popup you can see the minimum amount of SOUL needed to bid for the current auction. Enter your chosen amount. You can also enter the name of a friend who referred you, and each will get 11% of the purchase price refunded as GOATi if you win the auction. Then click “Bid on NFT”.
The transaction will then quickly be confirmed on the blockchain. As the auction has a set duration, you will not be receiving any NFTs immediately. If you win the auction, the auctioned car will immediately be created and sent to your wallet upon auction close. At the same time, if someone outbids you, you will immediately receive your funds back and can bid again.
In the “history” tab you can see the amount of SOUL you have bid, and any refunds received (shown here by outbidding myself, previous bid immediately being refunded). Click the transaction link for further details.
